Equality Act 2010
The protected characteristics are age, disability, gender reassignment, marriage and civil partnership, race, religion or belief, sex, and sexual orientation.
Public Sector Equality Duty (PSED)
The PSED is a legal requirement for public authorities (including the NHS) and organisations carrying out public functions to consider and review how they promote equality in every aspect of their day-to-day business.
NHS Constitution
The Constitution includes seven guiding principles, including aspiring to the highest standards of excellence and professionalism and six values, including that nobody is excluded or discriminated against.
Cass Review
This long-awaited report examined the treatment of gender-questioning young people.

Women’s Health Strategy for England
The aim of the strategy is to “radically improve the way in which the health and care system engages and listens to all women and girls” by “boosting the representation of women’s voices and experiences in policymaking, and at all levels of the health and care system.”
